Exhibition of boats and fishing equipment from Maxmo. E.g. parts of the boat that Urho Kekkonen traveled with through Maxmo 1957 as well as Ida Lundbergs boat and snowmobile from Mickelsörarna.

The museum has several hundred year old objects on display, such as various tools for fishing and seal hunting. The majority of the objects originate from the 19th century and have been donated by private individuals. The museum recounts old time fishing with nets, fish traps and leisters.

There is also a small exhibition from the abandoned village shop "Skärgårdens handelskompani".

The museum is owned by Maxmo Hembygdsförening and operated by Österö-Västerö byaförening r.f.

The museum is open by appointment.
